Abstract : As a result of the elastic susceptibility of the structural elements, a glider undergoes deformations which affect the value and character of its loadings. These changes make their appearance emphatically for speeds of flight that are high (so far as gliders are concerned), i.e., from a speed of about 150 km/h up to maximum speed. With loadings arising from operation of the controls, the changes are accomplished within operation of the controls, the changes are accomplished within force scales. (Author)
