Abstract : This Summary Report describes an investigation of the behavior of materials in vacuum under conditions simulating the pressure and temperature at high altitudes; the goal of the program is to establish the usefulness of these materials in high altitude applications. The Summary Report contains (1) an introduction, (2) a description of the equipment and procedure used in exposing and testing the samples, (3) a summary of the results, (4) conclusions, and (5) recommendations. The report includes three appendices.
