Abstract : This document presents Propulsion Wind Tunnel (16T and 16S) test results performed on a full scale aft portion of the ATHENA H vehicle. The tests were conducted to evaluate fin tab effectiveness for roll augmentation, and to measure pressure on components of the ATHENA H tail and fin structure. The tests were conducted for tab deflection angles ranging from 0 to 30 degrees at Mach numbers from 0.60 to 4.0. The tests show that wedge tabs have more roll effectiveness than cantilever tabs, and pressure measurement provide realistic pressure over the tail and fin structure components. (Author)
