Abstract : Data are presented on the mechanical properties (range of moduli andstrength) of unidirectional and bidirectional epoxy composites utilizinggraphite fibers (in the form of tow) as reinforcements. One-meter- onglengths as well as 1000-foot continuous lengths of tow were prepreggedwith epoxy resin. Composites were fabricated and evaluated in tension,flexure, interlaminar shear, and compression. The composite propertiesindicated good translation of fiber properties. (Author-PL)
