Abstract : Emerson Electric Company has conceived a unique free flight rocket concept designed specifically for high accuracy warhead delivery from rotary wing aircraft. This concept, known as ANSSR (Aerodynamically Neutral Spin Stabilized Rocket), is currently undergoing flight test evaluation by the U. S. Army. This report describes the result of a study program directed at deployment of ANSSR from USAF tactical support aircraft. Presented herein are preliminary rocket design data and estimates of trajectory errors resulting from selected error sources characteristic of air launched rocket systems. (Author)
