Abstract : This report presents an analysis and summary of broadband UHF receiver front end design techniques that lead to higher dynamic range, improved intermodulation performance, all electronic tuning and reduced complexity. An rf multiplier operating as a broadband mixer was analyzed to determine its noise figure, gain compression and intermodulation characteristics. The performance of an experimental model is described. (Author)
