Abstract : Environmental tests were performed on advanced contact sensors (fuzes). The tests were performed for the purpose of determining threshold level (g loading) of the sensors, to demonstrate the performance of the sensors through the specified operating and nonoperating tests, and to identify sensitivity thresholds of the sensors. As the result of testing, it was ascertained that certain environments have no effect on the sensors while others, particularly shock loading, adversely affect their function. (Author)
