Abstract : The objective of this study was to evaluate selected photographic reproduction materials using high quality static contact printing methods to determine the amount of resolution degradation that would occur to high resolution photography. This report describes the individual performances of the selected materials and compares the results of the various reproduction cycles using both negative and positive working materials. The results show that dye materials can now be considered as replacements for wet silver halide materials for the contact printing of high resolution photography. (Author)
