Abstract : Two automated systems for teaching typing were compared with the conventional method used at the Personnelman and Yeoman Class 'A' Schools at Orlando, Florida, and with the conventional method modified by the School's faculty. The basis for the comparisons were: trainee performance scores achieved during and after training, instructor ratings, classroom observations and the systems' reliability, maintainability and costs. Suggestions were made with respect to possible users of the various systems. (Author)
