Abstract : Undesired signals are frequently generated in natural nonlinear junctions in ship topside areas. Currents induced by the ship transmitters in ladders, davits, etc., feed a wide spectrum of intermodulation interference in receiving channels. The feasibility of locating the sources of this rfi by photomodulation is considered in this report. A test junction is found to be photosensitive, but sensitivity to be too low to justify further consideration of the method. (Author)
