Abstract : The technical grade compound produced no primary irritation to the intact or abraded skin of rabbits and no rabbit eye irritation. However, a single 24-hour application of either the technical grade chemical or a one percent formulation in pyrax powder to intact rabbit skin caused a reduction in blood cholinesterase activity. Under the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. Department of the Army, Office of The Surgeon General; the Armed Forces Pest Control Board; and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, it is recommended that ENT-27386-Gc formulated as a one percent dust in pyrax powder not be approved for field testing involving application to human skin.
