Abstract : The Collins Radio 23P2B sensor logic switch was tested as installed in the AN/FRC-162 receivers in active link configuration. The make-before-break technique was designed to produce error-free switching in manual and automatic modes. One-hop transmissions, two-hop transmissions with data regeneration, and two-hop transmission without data regeneration tests were performed. Baseband attenuation baseband time delay, RF attenuation, and differential RSL's were studied for effects on multiplexer errors and reframes. The switch performed error-free under normal conditions at both high and low RSL's. Tolerances for normal operation are specified.
