Abstract : Since 1966, when the Ocean Sciences Division originated, its scientists have developed a variety of instruments and techniques to apply to their studies of marine chemistry, air-sea interactions, air-mass trajectories, fog generation, pollution, and ocean turbulence. This report describes several of these developments, some of which may be applicable to the scientific or technical problems of other investigators. (Author)
