Abstract : An optical microscopic method was developed to examine the particle size and particle size distribution of glass bead filler in Celcon. By this method it was found that a glass-filled Celcon rotating band that gave a good round had a larger number of smaller filler particles than one that failed. Preliminary work indicates that the distributions do not fit a two-parameter Tung type but that they can be described by a three-parameter function (Weibull). (Author)
