Abstract : A final acceptance test fixture and procedure was developed for the Spin Sensor Arming Device. A tradeoff study was conducted for the solenoid and mechanical actuation of the SSAD to select a method with least impact and cost to the SSAD. The mechanical method was selected. A test fixture was fabricated from detail drawings. Three SSAD's were tested with the fixture. These tests verified that the test fixture and procedure provided the following data: (1) Sequence of switch operation, (2) The fact that initiation switch opens, (3) The fact that continuity switch opens before function switch closes, (4) Time between continuity switch opening and function switch closure, (5) Duration of timer operation, (6) Visual indication of cam operation, and (7) Sensor functions with use of rate table.
