Abstract : The information presented in this paper shows what parent aircraft effects are important when determining the forces and moments acting on a store in close proximity to a triple ejection rack. The large gradients in the store forces and moments which exist near the carriage position are demonstrated. Areas are shown in which improvements to the AFFDL/Nielsen subsonic store separation computer program are required if the launch dynamics of a store released from such a configuration are to be accurately predicted.
