Abstract : The Red River between miles 68.6 and 79.2 was selected as a typical troublesome reach in which to determine the general channel realignment, training, and stabilization structures necessary to provide a navigation channel of adequate depth and width that would be stable and require minimum dredging. The movable-bed model was built to a horizontal scale of 1:150 and a vertical scale of 1:100.
