Abstract : This thesis presents a computer program designed to analyze the data from a TV camera for investigating laser beam propagation through the atmosphere. It uses aspects of Fourier optical theory to analyze the TV image to measure the effects of atmospheric disturbance and platform stability on the target spot. The understanding and analysis of these effects are increasingly important as lasers and other optical devices experience increased use in military application. (Author)
