Abstract : Three multiple hot wire sensors are developed and applied to a low speed axial compressor rotor blade. The multiple wire sensor design is based on the technique of the combined hot and cold wire in a parallel arrangement for the detection of flow separation and reversal. The sensors are used in the unstalled and stalled part of the compressor characteristics with one and two stall cells present. The signals are analyzed using the fast Fourier transform, power spectra and correlation techniques. (Author)
