Abstract : The range of application of the comprehensive set of missile aerodynamic prediction programs known as MISSILE1 and MISSILE2 has been analytically extended to M infinity = 5 and fin AR=5. The extension is based on shock expansion theory applied to fins placed in body flow fields computed by an Euler equation solver. The results are normalized by wing-alone data obtained at NASA/LRC. Details of the method are presented in the report together with sample cases. (Author)
