Abstract : A mathematical model is developed for designing and analyzing multiple microcomputer architectures. The model combines a user application algorithm, a generalized distributive operating system, and a generalized multiprocessor architecture into an integral system representation. When applied to realtime design problems, it provides a method to establish the processing and communication resources required to meet real-time constraints. (Author)
