Abstract : The updated FY 83 Army Study Program presented herein includes the status of individual command and agency programs for the remainder of the fiscal year. The study program will continue to be updated on a quarterly basis. The studies presented in The Army Study Program include a broad class of intellectual activity characterized by the application of the tools of operational or systems analysis to Army problems. These studies are analytical examinations which are designed to provide assistance to Army decision makers at all levels. This assistance can take many forms, to include assessments, alternative approaches, recommendations, compilation of data bases, or new and improved methodologies. The intent of any study in a generalized sense should be to make some significant contribution to decision-making or policy development.
