Abstract : The results of three LASNEX simulations of Argon seeded DT filled microballoon implosions in which the details of the hot electron preheat have been varied are post analyzed with a full collisional radiative model. The resulting simulated spectra are compared. A similar calculation is performed on a pure argon microballoon implosion. Some features of the average atom model used by LASNEX are compared to those calculated by the collisional radiative model. (Author)
