Abstract : This study was designed to assess the teratologic potential of ABATE following repeated oral or dermal administration of the compound to pregnant rabbits during the major period of organogenesis. There were no teratologic effects in New Zealand White rabbits associated with repeated oral or dermal administration of ABATE at levels which produced a toxic effect. Although these studies have shown that ABATE should not cause teratogenic effects in its intended use, chronic studies should be performed to further define any potential long term toxicity.
