Abstract : Mill's Logic is the cornerstone of scientific method; yet, aside form Mill's Methods of Induction, its contents are not well known. This report attempts to make Book I of Mill's Logic more accessible to students of science and the philosphy of science. Each section of Mill's work is summarized. Most sections also include comments that criticize Mill's position, or relate the topic to more recent developments in the philosophy of science. (Author)
