Abstract : Further biochemical studies have been made on the mode of action of various drugs including mefloquine, in spite of a continuing problem with animal accommodation due to tightening Home Office regulations concerning animal care in research laboratories. It is understood that the new regulations that are being drawn up take guidance from FDA requirements as well as those in other EEC countries, and this will necessitate a major reconstruction of the animal accommodation in Liverpool.
