Abstract : A bang-bang closed-loop digital programmable controller was developed for a multiple-bladder sequentially inflatable g-suit. Programmable parameters included the number of bladders, sequence of inflation, PSI/G relationship, and a g-suit refresh cycle. The software was developed in BASIC-80. Two bladders were analyzed and their transfer functions approximated (assuming linearity) for both inflation and deflation. A theoretical versus actual time response comparison revealed the degree of linearity of bladder inflation and deflation.
