Abstract : High-strength alloys exposed to a marine environment may undergo stress-corrosion-cracking (SCC). To obtain a reliable data base of SCC information, it is necessary to formulate standard methods of test to assure uniformity of results. This document sets forth recommended procedures for the two most popular SCC tests methods, single-edge-notched cantilever bend and wedge-opening-loaded (WOL). (Author)
