Abstract : An experimental study was performed to determine the influence of fairings on the reduction of drag which is produced by the wingbody junction. The wing-body junction was represented by a wing mounted on a flat plate and the junction was contoured by placing different fairing sizes at the wing leading edge and wing trailing edge. The purpose of the experiment was to observe the effect of the different fairing sizes on the wing-body junction aerodynamics. (Author)
