Abstract : It has been discovered that it is possible to produce stable intimate mixtures of normally incompatible materials (such as sodium chloride and benzene) by vapor co-deposition on a very cold surface. Some spectroscopic and chemical properties of the novel materials have been investigated, and it is concluded that they show potential for the development of specific sensors. (Author)
