Abstract : This report presents performance results for a class of robust, constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detectors known as censored mean-level detector (or cell-averaged CFAR detector), is an energy detector designed to detect stationary Gaussian signals in stationary, locally homogeneous Gaussian noise. Solutions to this classical problem have found applications in many diverse fields and performance results for the CMLD in passive sonar applications have been documented. (Author)
