Abstract : Several techniques have been used to study the relationship between Seasat deduced geoid anomalies, ocean-floor topography and gravity anomalies. Included are an integration formula for calculating geoid anomalies from density inhomogeneities in the ocean floor, a predictive algorithm based on admittance or the ratio of Fourier Transforms, a second predictive algorithm based on determining coefficients for a covariance filter and four formulae or mathematical models for calculating gravity anomalies from measured geoid anomalies.
