Abstract : De Bruijn sequences have been the subject of recurring interest since their discovery over a century ago. Recent developments in radar ranging, error correcting codes, secure or limited access code generators, and mathematical modeling have made application of de Bruijn sequences because of their properties. The binary shift registers readily model digital computers with electronic states where 1 indicates the on state and 0 indicates the off state.
