Abstract : Work during the period from March 1, 1983 to February 29, 1984 has been focussed in two main categories, namely, studies of basic failure processes in elastomeric materials and studies of factors affecting the adhesion of various materials to each other. These studies are summarized in this report which describes eight technical reports, 6 publications, and 4 technical presentations made during the year.
