Abstract : Much of the literature dealing with system failures assumes that individual subsystems or components are stochastically independent. In this report, some models that have been used for analyzing dependent failures are examined and one new time dependent stress-strength(loading) model is proposed. These models are of particular interest in the probabilistic risk assessment of nuclear reactors.
