Abstract : Munitions Personnel of Tactical Air Forces (TAF) have articulated the need for a quantitative model for use by conventional munition managers to assess their units' capability to load ordnance in support of operational sortie requirements. The aims of a model addressing this need are to provide an estimate of sortie production in support of a flying schedule, and to identify the limiting resources (equipment and personnel) for a units' specific scenario. Expediency suggested examination of a number of models which incorporate munitions handling to see if a suitable model already exists. These models were evaluated against the criteria of sufficiency of information provided, accuracy of output, cost of use, and timeliness of assessment. The Capability Assessment Model of Munitions Production (CAMMP) out performed the other models relative to the evaluation criteria. (Author)
