Abstract : Computer programs are designed to calculate and display beam patterns in both two and three dimensions. Graphical presentation and evaluation in three-dimensions are difficult and important problems. Five computer models are presented and used in investigating the directional and frequency properties of shaded and phased doublet, triplet and quadruplet arrays. Comparisons associated with parameters such as wavelength, inter-source distance, source strength, and phase difference are examined.
