Abstract : This paper presents an analysis of the Air Command and Staff College (ACSC) associate programs (seminar and correspondence options). It was prepared under the guidance of the ACSC Evaluation Directorate (EDV) to analyze the trends of perceptions of recent students, and trends of failure rates, completion rates, and average test scores. Additionally, the contribution of additional activities to the learning process in the seminar program is reviewed. Conclusions and recommendations are based on data obtained from previous surveys, as well as historical data on file in the ECI data base. The objectives of the study were to: 1) Analyze results of graduate surveys that were administered to seminar and correspondence students and determine trends in student attitudes of comparative effectiveness of the two option; 2) Determine if there is a significantly higher failure rate for the seminar option when compared to the correspondence option; 3) Determine if there is a significant difference in the completion rate for the seminar option when compared to the correspondence option; and 4) Compare the average examine scores for students enrolled in the seminar and correspondence options and determine whether they are significantly different.
