Abstract : Accurate ocean data is essential for successful fleet operation. The N-ROSS Satellite, which is being developed for this mission, will carry a Low Frequency Microwave Radiometer (LFMR). The LFMR consists of large flexible reflector and boom and spins at 15 r.p.m. The effects of the flexibility of the boom, the spin-up procedure and the structural damping on the pointing error of the LFMR are investigated by performing the dynamic simulation using the Dynamic Simulation Language. Two cases of boom material, Aluminum Alloy and the Graphite/epoxy composite material, are analyzed and the results are compared. The simulation and analysis results are presented in graphical forms.
