Abstract : This report briefly describes research results in nonlinear control theory. The main focus of the research has been on a new approach for designing nonlinear control laws for nonlinear systems that is called design by extended linearization. Results reported include the development of this design method in regard to standard control problems, including linearized system eigenvalue placement, input output decoupling, and system inversion. Technical publications describing the results in detail are listed.
