Abstract : An algorithm is presented for the computation of streamwise pressure gradient for use in the computation of turbulent channel flow using the full incompressible Navier-Stokes equations of motion. The algorithm is fully hands off, no assumptions or constants are employed. Forces balance exactly throughout the calculations. Results are presented which show that a statistically steady turbulent state is reached and maintained using this algorithm.
