Abstract : The transmission of radiation is affected by dust and by turbulence. It would be desirable to be able to predict the degree of turbulence and the dust concentration. As a prelude to carrying out experiments in the Negev Desert to gather appropriate data leading to development of a prediction model, we have selected a site and prepared climatological data for that site. Contents--Dust Storms at Sede Boqer: Distribution of Dust Storm Observations According to Month of the Year, Frequency of Wind Directions During Dust Storm Observations According to the Month of the Year, Percentage Frequency of Wind Directions at Times of Dust Storms at Sede Boqer, Distribution of Dust Storms at Sede Boqer According to Wind Direction and Velocity; Meteorological data for Sede Boqer: Station Instrumentation, Temperature Data, Temperature and Humidity Variables at 14:00 Local Time, Rainfall, Dew and Evaporation.
