Abstract : We are using Mossbauer spectroscopy and magnetic measurements in conjunction with electrochemical, pH and optical spectroscopic measurements to study the mechanisms of iron deposition and mobilization in mammalian and bacterial ferritin, and to study the structure of the iron containing core of these proteins.
