Abstract : This paper is a continuation of a preliminary study which investigated the magnetic field radiated from a charge bunch traveling over a finite path. One of the recommendations of the preliminary study was to investigate how the magnitude and shape of the radiated field depends on the location of the observer relative to certain time boundaries defined by relationships between the arrival times of different parts of a pulse. This recommendation was followed by studying the signals radiated from charge bunches with two different ratios of rise time to path length. Within the Cerenkov cone and near a time boundary, the observed pulses are shaped like spikes. The time boundaries were found to be hyperbolas in the plane defined by the direction of travel of the charge bunch and the direction of propagation of radiation.
