Abstract : This document considers stabilization (minimum time to the zero solution) of wave and beam equations via endpoint velocity control. In general it considers a control system described by a partial differential equation, with dependent variable denoted w=w(t,x), which admits V= the partial derivative with respect to t as a symmetry generator and hence a conservation law which implies conservation of energy.
