Abstract : The research presented herein, analyzes two models of a jet vane Thrust Vector Control (TVC) System. Computational modeling was accomplished using the latest version of the PHEONICS computer code, designated PHEONICS-84. THe vane configurations studies, consisted of a simple wedge and a blunt bodied vane, with a leading edge radius of 1.016 mm. (1/25 in.). These models were examined in a two dimensional, subsonic and supersonic, cold flow field, for both laminar and turbulent flow cases. Results consist of a numerical solution and a graphical representation of surface shear stress coefficient, Stanton number and convective heat transfer coefficient.
