Abstract : A computer program has been developed for the Maximum Likelihood estimation of parameters in general non-linear systems. Sensitivity matrix elements are calculated numerically, overcoming the need for explicit sensitivity equations. Parameters such as break points and time shifts are successfully determined using both simulated and actual test data.
