Abstract : In this lecture a review of some recent results associated with exactly solvable multidimensional nonlinear systems will be given. The motivation for much of this work has come via what is commonly referred to as the Inverse Scattering Transform (I.S.T.; as a reference see, for example,). IST is a method to solve certain nonlinear equations by associating them with appropriate compatible linear equations, one of which is identified as a scattering problem and the others(s) serves to fix the time evolution of the scattering data.
