Abstract : This Final Report summarizes the research conducted at the University of Illinois at Chicago by the author and several of his graduate students. The research was focused on the establishment of a rational constitutive model for concrete based on the actual mesostructural kinetics. The results clearly demonstrate that a constitutive model of the proposed type is not only feasible but also that the attendant computations are moderate in volume. The proposed model is illustrated on several simple examples in the referenced literature. Keywords: Continuum damage mechanics, Micromechanics, Concrete.
