Abstract : A method of calibration for a triple wire probe has been implemented for use in the flow visualization tunnel at the Naval Postgraduate School. The system was designed to allow flow measurements in highly turbulent flows and under conditions of relatively unknown flow directions. Preliminary evaluation of the method indicates that accuracies in the range of 1-4% can be expected. Although attainment of these levels of accuracy have not yet been achieved, it is felt that they can be realized.
